Nitasha Ricks, MD

Dr. Nitasha Ricks was born and raised in Winston-Salem NC. She went to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for college (GO HEELS!), where she majored in psychology, then took a few years to work in the area in property management and clinical research. She returned to UNC for medical school, and earned her Master's of Public Health during this time as well. Dr. Ricks completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at UNC, thereby completing all of her education and training in Chapel Hill NC.

Dr. Ricks fell in love with Obstetrics during medical school, and feels privileged to care for women during important times in their lives. Her interests include minimally invasive surgery and high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Ricks is married; she and her husband have a 100-lb lapdog named Zeus. In her free time, she loves to read, travel and spend time with her family and friends.
